" The prime reason I wanted to join this association is because of the positivity spread through our society, whether on the internet or real-life. Personally touched by the determination and teamwork people have put into this organization. Which inspires me to join, and put my strengths to support this organization."
" I have three main personality traits, Openness, Extraversion, and Agreeableness. Firstly, I was never a traditional person, and one of the things my family fully support is to try new things. A part of me is attempting, and I am attracted to the latest updates. Secondly, I would consider myself a magnanimous person. I don’t like to dispute small things, and I want to ‘live in the moment’ because it is better to take action than think about it. Thirdly, I respect others and their opinion. I try to stand in other people’s perspectives to see things, to understand their point. By standing in their point of view would make it easier for us to communicate. I am proud to have all these personality traits because many of my friends like me for my attitude and, most importantly, make me who I am. "

Psychology has always been my biggest passion since grade 4; I have been fascinated with how the human brain works and how we can help people improve their quality of life with psychology. There is so much to explore about the human mind, and I want to learn about why we are the way we are. My goal is to be a psychiatrist, as I believe in the importance of mental health and accessible+normalized mental health care.
Having both influences of modern medicine and traditional Chinese medicine from my family members, I struggled to find a balance between the two. However, although I heavily lean towards modern medicine and sciences, I am intrigued by the philosophical frameworks and ideas of TCM in its relations to Chinese culture. I want to spread awareness of that culture and share those ideas to honour the wisdom of ancestors.
Almost seven years of Saturday morning art classes have taught me a lot than just how to blend my watercolours. It has taught me the values of perseverance, risk-taking, self-expression, and focus. From my experiences as a TA in my art school, I also found a passion for communicating with younger kids and help them express their imaginative ideas through art.
