Hey! I’m Jeslyn, one of the co-founding directors of ProjectNINE. I’m beyond excited to work with our team towards the NINE objectives we have as an organization. I must say that it is truly amazing how far we have come as a group, from just an Instagram profile to a 40+ people family working on initiatives like Sem;colon, WEvolve, RadioNINE, ChapterNINE, and more! Of course, this is far from the end and I’d like to invite YOU to join us on this journey of creating a difference in our world (one small step at a time).

One way I de-stress is by watching K-dramas (Goblin being my absolute favourite!). I also find connecting with others very calming because it helps me focus on what is shared by other people, as opposed to stressing about the problems I may have on hand.

passion #1: business
Business and economics have always been subjects at the dinner table that captivated me as a child. As I learned more about finance, the stock market, and negotiations, I can now join in the discussion with my sibling and parents. Without doubt, my future lies within these fields, and I aspire to become a woman business leader. Though managing ProjectNINE, as a non-profit, is different from managing a business, this experience has improved my skills in marketing, management, and outreach, all while working towards a cause I am passionate about. In the future, I hope to promote ethical business practices and spread the importance of corporate social responsibility in international settings.
passion #2: travelling
My family is huge on traveling; I am fortunate enough to be able to visit different cities around the world and embrace the environment of new cultures. This helped developed my love for languages as I hope to become fluent in languages, such as French, in the future. My passion for culture also provoked my interest in fashion and how traditional culture influences modern trends. From the culture of country, to the trends within that country, to how business should be run there, everything is connected. My passions have found ways to build off of one another and fascinate me more every day. Overall, I find culture and fashion to come together and embody traditional and modern elements in one beautiful expression.
