Hi guys! My name is Kelley and I'm excited to help bring more passion projects to life this year as the co-director. In general, I like to grow my knowledge on various current events and collaborate with others to problem solve (i.e.dream of crazy solutions). In my free time, I can be seen reading, listening to music, sleeping, and participating in hackathons with my friends. This year, I hope to encourage wonder about 21st century problems we face as youth today and how we can each make a positive impact! Please stay tuned to see what this amazing team does :)))

passion #1: learning & problem solving
I really enjoy learning new ideas and concepts because there is so much to learn in the world with unlimited resources at the touch of a button. When I’m learning something new I like the unfamiliarity of it, the satisfaction of finally understanding it and ultimately applying that knowledge to solve problems or answer large questions. That’s why I like the process of hackathons because we get to research heavily on a topic and create a solution for a problem where my imagination can go beyond the limits.
passion #2: climate crisis
Although I’m far from being a climate activist, one of my passions is environmental science and more specifically climate change in the past century. The climate crisis has become a hot topic (pun unfortunately intended) in the past decade as the global temperature continues to rise. I’m passionate about learning more about specific aspects of climate change, what we can do to decrease the effects of it as well as the science behind the cause.
