@yvonnet.ian

Hey everyone! I'm Yvonne, and I am one of the founders/directors here at ProjectNINE. Some of my responsibilities in this leadership role includes overseeing program contents, expansions, Human Resources, initiative operation and production, and most importantly providing guidance and support for my coordinators in every step of the journey. Being able to lead and be a part of the breakthroughs, adventures, and growth with our organization has been a gratifying and adventurous journey. I hope to continue doing what we love, and we dream of with our ✧・゚SUPERB・゚✧* team ; )

get to know me!

watch REALLY REALLY sad k-dramas or dysfunctional medical shows while eating Asian comfort foods at night. After I cry about them I start to analyze the characters and storylines to feel better about myself ; )

How do you destress?

Q.

A.

passion #1: psychology

Psychology has always been my biggest passion since grade 4; I have been fascinated with how the human brain works and how we can help people improve their quality of life with psychology. There is so much to explore about the human mind, and I want to learn about why we are the way we are. My goal is to be a psychiatrist, as I believe in the importance of mental health and accessible+normalized mental health care.

passion #2: art

Almost seven years of Saturday morning art classes have taught me a lot than just how to blend my watercolours. It has taught me the values of perseverance, risk-taking, self-expression, and focus. From my experiences as a TA in my art school, I also found a passion for communicating with younger kids and helping them express their imaginative ideas through art.
